Content Writer
Content Writers will work closely with the Director of Communications & Marketing to create engaging and valuable content for various Dream Con platforms. Content will include, but not limited to, blogs and articles, website copy, guest biographies, social media posts, advertisements, and e-communication. The ideal candidate will be able to write about a wide range of topics across the industry.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on any given topic
- Brainstorm and propose new content ideas
- Develop, write and deliver creative copy for the website, email marketing campaigns, blogs, press releases, etc.
- Creating compelling headlines and content that will capture the attention of the target audience
- Complete writing projects, meet deadlines and follow content requirements in terms of style and project specifications
- Proofread and edit content from other departments
- Periodically rewrite and optimize existing blog posts
- Build and manage editorial calendars
- Work collaboratively with the Press and Public Relations Department and the Web and Design Department
Requirements:
- Proven work experience in content writing or copywriting
- Verifiable portfolio of published articles and/or sample writing
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and other content management systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Superb research, writing, and editing skills
- In-depth knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
- Relevant experience and/or degree in English, Writing, Journalism, or a related field
