# Panel Submission 

All prospective panelists must submit their panel or workshop event(s) online to be considered for Dream Con 2020 programming schedule. Prospective panelists must submit an application for each panel or workshop they would like to host. Dream Con only accepts panel submissions from individuals age 16 and older.

Panel applications will be reviewed by the Programming Department. Prospective panelists will receive an email notifying the applicant if their panel/workshop has been accepted, rejected, or waitlisted. Panel applications close on February 10th, 2020 at 10:59 pm Central Time. We will not accept any panel submissions after this date! 

Note: DO NOT buy a membership badge before your panel is reviewed and approved! Panelists will not receive a refund.

# Panel Badge Guideline

Prospective panelists may submit up to 3 panels/workshops applications; however, Dream Con does not guarantee that all submitted panels will be accepted. Accepted panel groups may receive up to 3-weekend membership badges for individuals age 16 or older.

# Panel Policy 

During the convention, panelists and assistants are expected to arrive 10 minutes early to their panel room. Panelists must check-in with the room managers and volunteers to ensure proper setup. Panels must wrap-up 5 minutes before the scheduled end time to ensure a proper transition from one panel to the next.

# Panelist(s) are allowed to:
  • Use videos, music, and other digital media throughout the duration of their panel(s).
  • Lead interactive games/workshops that involve the audience’s participation.
  • Give out prizes or rewards at the end of their panel(s).
# Panelist(s) are NOT allowed to:
  • Provide food or beverages unless sealed in its original package and approved by the Programming Department.
  • Arrange, install, tamper, or remove any equipment without prior permission from the Programming Department.
  • Charge an entry fee for their panel/workshop(s).
  • Provide or consume ANY alcoholic beverages during their panel unless pre-approved by the Programming Department and Waco Convention Center.
  • All Panelists must be within the appropriate age group to host any and all restricted panels. Panels involving drinking are legally restricted to individuals 21 years of age and older. Those without a proper government-issued ID cannot enter the panel room. There are NO EXCEPTIONS!

# Panel Equipment

All panel rooms are equipped with the following:

  • 1 microphone 
  • 1 projector and screen
  • 1 HDMI/VGA
  • Table
  • Chairs

# Programming Office

The Programming Office is located on the lower level in Lone Star room 105. You may reach out to our Programming team for any issues or concerns you may have during the convention. Below are the operating hours of the Programming Office.

These submissions will NOT be considered:

  • Versus Panels
  • Character Panels
  • Speed Dating Panels
  • Character Q&A Panels
# 18+ Panels General Information

Panels that include any adult material will be tagged as an 18+ panel. All panelists hosting an 18+ event must be 18 years of age or older by the day of the convention.

Please Note: 18+ panels are restricted to adults only! Those without a proper government-issued ID cannot enter the panel room. There are NO EXCEPTIONS!

Examples of 18+ Content:

  • Hentai/Ecchi
  • Nudity or suggestive nudity
  • Yaoi
  • Yuri
  • Obsessive amounts of adult language
  • Sexuality/sexual intercourse discussions
  • Triggering or offense material

# General Programming Information

  • Dream Con’s Programming Department reserves the right to change, move, or revoke all accepted panels for any reason.
  • Dream Con does provide the following:
  • Laptops, tablets, mobile phones, etc.
  • Any devices outside of projectors or microphones
  • A wired or wireless Internet connection. We recommend that all panelists download their audio and visual media needed for their panels.
  • Food or beverage
  • Standard office supplies (e.g. pencils/pen, paper, sticky notes, etc.
  • Panelists that are more than 20 minutes late will have their panels canceled and their badges revoked.
  • Panelists must inform the Programming staff of any emergencies or unforeseen issues that may prevent the panelists from hosting their scheduled panel/workshop.
  • Panelists cannot reserve seating for any attendee.
  • Panelists must yield to any and all instructions given by Dream Con’s Programming Staff. Failure to comply will result in panel cancellation and membership badge(s) being revoked.
