ACCESSIBILITY

Dream Con is dedicated to ensuring our convention is accessible to as many visitors as possible regardless of their ability. We have been diligently focusing our efforts to improve the onsite experience and will strive to provide an inclusive environment for all attendees.

Accessibility wristbands are offered free to fans with mobility, vision, hearing, and other medical or accessibility needs. These wristbands can be picked up onsite at Dream Con's registration and information areas. Please note: These wristbands only provide additional access and do not include admission. ADA attendees and their companions/assistants must still have a pre-purchased admission badge prior to requesting a complimentary accessibility wristband.

Sensory Information

The AccessiBliss Suite is a quiet space located on the 2nd floor in room 215 that can be utilized by all ADA attendees and companions. If you need a break from loud noises and bright lights, this space will be available at your disposal. Designated Premier events will be streamed into the AccessiBliss Suite for viewing. Disposable ear plugs, and select sensory items will be available for use. No RSVP is required for access.

The Manga and Puzzles Library, located on the 3rd floor in room 310A, will also be a designated quiet space that can be utilized by any attendee in need of a recess from transpiring events.

Mobility Accommodations

Priority lines at street level entrances of the GRBCC will be available for any attendees with the Accessibility Designation. There will also be a separate line for entry into the Main Stage and other select locations. Those with the appropriate wristband will have access to a limited amount of designated seating for each event. All seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, so be mindful that specific programming events can fill up quickly. The Main Stage will be cleared between events — Everyone will need to re-queue in line for the next event.

ADA attendees will have early access to the exhibit hall approximately one hour before standard badge holders. This is to ensure they can explore the space comfortably and access resources without the challenges of large crowds, which can be overwhelming for individuals with sensory sensitivities or mobility needs.

Maps will be provided closer to the event and will display the designated seating areas in Premier Stages and line queues.  Note: an RSVP is still required to attend any events that require registration.

Please refer to the map here for the locations of ramps, which are available for those using scooters or wheelchairs. Mobility scooters will not be provided on-site.

Audio Accommodations

ASL INTERPRETING

Events that will include ASL interpreters will be specified on the Dream Con mobile app as the programming schedule becomes available.

CLOSED CAPTIONING

Closed captioning will be available in the AccessiBliss Suite. Events that will include ASL interpreters will be specified on the Dream Con mobile app as the programming schedule becomes available.

AUDIO REDUCING DEVICES

A limited number of disposable, noise-reducing earplugs will be provided at request. Earplugs will be located in the AccessiBliss Suite.

Visual Accommodations

A non-color coded map of the GRBCC will be provided at the registration table upon request.

Service Animals

Service animals will be permitted in the event with the appropriate designation. A service animal is defined as a dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability. The animal must be leashed or tethered, and the owner must be able to maintain control. Service animal vests are not required per ADA.

Nursing Room

Two Mamava lactation pods are conveniently located on the North and South side of Mezzanine Level 2. Nursing parents can access these private, clean, and comfortable spaces to breastfeed or pump using the free Mamava app available on the Apple iOS Store or Google Play Store. Click here for guidance on using the app and locating the pods.

Gender Neutral Restrooms and ADA stalls

ADA stalls are available for use on all floors of the GRBCC, and gender-neutral restrooms are located on the 1st and 3rd floors. Refer to the map here for more details.
