Requirements and Benefits

When you join Dream Con, you are joining a team of individuals working together to make Dream Con the best it can be. It’s critical to have a team-building mindset and essential problem-solving skills.

Most importantly, you are also representing Dream Con as a whole and must move accordingly. You must be capable of maintaining discretion and undisclosed information within the organization. Joining the Dream Con Staff is a unique experience seeing the con from a different point of view. You are provided access to the staff lounge and meals during convention hours.

Application Process

To apply, read all of the department descriptions & responsibilities to find the best fit. The general application link allows you to select up to three (3) departments you’re most interested in.

You will be required to submit your resume on the application. So make sure you have that ready to go! Please allow at least 1-2 months for us to review applications. We will contact you as soon as we can.

Submission deadline is January 15th. Updates are issued on a rolling basis as they become available. Please check your spam folder for correspondence.

Late applications will not be considered. If an applicant experiences technical errors with their submission, correspondence must be sent via email prior to the listed deadline to request support and a submission extension.

Sponsorship Fulfillment

The Sponsorship, Partnership and Fulfillment Department focuses on strategic sponsorship initiatives aimed to raise Dream Con brand awareness, strengthen Dream Con’s market position, build external relationships, and secure resources needed to grow and implement program activities, and maximize revenue opportunities. 


The Gaming Department is in charge of bringing all of the competitive fun to Dream Con through table top games and video games. 

Dreamer Support Specialist

Dream Con is all about making the best experience possible for everyone! The Dreamer Support Specialist plays a critical role resolving technical problems with our website, mobile app, products, and services. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, managing customer queries and complaints, processing orders, recommending solutions, and guiding users through features and functionalities.

Content Writer

Content Writers will work closely with the Director of Communications & Marketing to create engaging and valuable content for various Dream Con platforms. Content will include, but not limited to, blogs and articles, website copy, guest biographies, social media posts, advertisements, and e-communication.

Merchandising & Digital Retail

The Merchandising & Digital Retail Department is responsible for all Dream Con merchandise and products both online and in-person. This department manages the merchandise inventory, keeps up with market trends, and communicates with suppliers and distributors to make sure Dream Con has the best products for our shoppers.

Arts & Graphics

The Art & Graphics Department is critical in the process of defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts and photos. This department shapes the visual aspects of Dream Con’s website, social media, programming, signage, products, merchandise, and more.

Human Resources & Recruitment

The Volunteer & Human Resources (HR) Department oversees the onboarding, recruitment, and general HR management of all Dream Con volunteers and staff. The Volunteer & HR Department works as the liaison between Dream Con’s Senior Management team and Dream Con’s volunteers and staff members. The Volunteer & HR Department consists of the following teams: Volunteer Hospitality, HR Management, and Volunteer Registration & Training.

Marketing & Communications

The Marketing and Communications Department serves as the voice behind the Dream Con brand, assisting with developing internal documents and external-audience-facing materials, and engaging with the audience via digital platforms such as social media.


The Programming Department manages the overall events and activities of Dream Con. The flow of Dream Con relies on the constant overseeing and attention to scheduling, time management, and communication of the Programming Department.


The Logistics and Operations Department is tasked with the organization and execution of Dream Con’s overall operations. This department oversees many aspects of the event including but not limited to site planning, budgets, communications, production, vendor management, event staffing, internal and external production needs, facilities, food and beverage, and security.

Web & App Design

The Web Design Department is in charge of the Dream Con’s website and mobile app. The Web & Design Department consists of the following teams: Web Design.

Talent Relations

The Talent Relations Department deals with our attendees favorite people – the celebrity guests! This team represents Dream Con’s main contact for the special guests and everyone in between, including their managers, assistants, and more.

Press & Public Relations

The Press and Public Relations Department assists with building and maintaining the positive public image and reputation of Dream Con. This department serves as Dream Con’s liaison to the media and press. Roles within this department entail a wide range of responsibilities


The Registration Department oversees the check in process for all attendees and event staff for Dream Con. Registration manages the streamlining of the check in process from the very first security checkpoint to the end of the badge hand off process. The Registration Department consists of the following teams: Attendee Registration, Information Desk, and Ticketed Events.
