Dream Con 2026 Highlights: Going Beyond

From July 10-12, Dreamers from across the country and around the globe gathered in Houston for three incredible days of gaming, cosplay, sports, entertainment, and more. This year, we challenged ourselves to not just dream but go beyond, and thanks to this incredible community, we did! With over 45,000 badges sold, Dream Con 2026 had the largest attendance in the convention’s history.

Dream Con 2026 by the Numbers

‍

This year’s event brought together 124 artists, 86 vendors, 10 indie game studios, nine nonprofit organizations, and 58 partners to create a weekend like no other for our attendees. From the exhibit hall to the Main Stage, every part of the convention reflected the creativity, passion, and sense of family and community that make Dream Con so special.

‍

But Dream Con’s impact extends beyond the convention center. Through this year’s Charity Basketball Game, ticket proceeds supported the Boys & Girls Club of Houston, Kismet of Kings, and Heaven’s Open Door Resource Center. Dream Con was also recognized by the City of Houston, the Mayor’s Office, and the U.S. House of Representatives for its continued cultural and community impact.

Of course, no Dream Con weekend would be complete without a few fun surprises! This year, we welcomed surprise appearances from Houston City Controller Chris Hollins, 18th District of Texas Congressman Christian Menefee, Bryson Tiller, GG Jackson, Dominique Perry, Sauce Walka, Slim Jxmmi, and Trae tha Truth. Just one day after the convention wrapped, Dream Con and RDCWorld co-founder Mark Phillips was added to the TIME100 Creators 2026 list, the perfect way to cap off a historic weekend!
