Dream Con Adds Carl Jones to the Guest List!

We’re proud to announce Carl Jones – writer, executive producer, and actor –  as a new guest joining us for Dream Con 2023. Carl Jones has co-produced hit animated TV series and staples in the Black community such as The Boondocks (2005), Black Dynamite (2011), and Sugar and Toys (2019). In The Boondocks, you will be able to recognize Carl’s voice as the infamous, Thugnificent. Carl co-created Adult Swim’s Freaknik the Musical (2010) and produced and wrote on two seasons of Comedy Central’s Legends of Chamberlain Heights (2016). He also wrote for Adult Swim’s The Jellies! (2017-2019) starring Tyler The Creator and served as the showrunner on season 3 of TBS’s The Last OG (2018-2021). Carl Jones' latest projects include the animated reboot of Good Times for Netflix  and HBO Max’s Young Love (2023).

It does not stop there as Carl Jones has co-founded his own animation studio, Martian Blueberry. Martian Blueberry has already collaborated with the Major League Baseball (MLB) and has produced Undeniable -- Stories from the Negro Leagues. Having an icon like Carl Jones at Dream Con will provide great learning opportunities and critical insight on the industry for attendees.
