Dream Con Brings Big Names from The Boondocks for a Celebration of Culture!

This year is a grand milestone for one of the most influential, animated sitcoms of all-time. A show which has provided many unforgettable quotes that have ingrained itself into many daily conversations with no conscious intention. The Boondocks have finally made it to its 20 year anniversary and Dream Con will be the venue to host this momentous occasion!

The Boondocks originated from a comic strip, created by Aaron McGruder, which follows the Freeman family: Huey, Riley, and their grandfather, Robert and appearances from additional characters as well. In 2005, it debuted on Adult Swim, captivating audiences with its daring yet highly comical approach to racial themes, pop culture, and more! Its unapologetic uncensored expression, combined with its smooth animated scenes, earned recognition to be classified as an anime, despite its origins from a comic strip.

Some cast and crew from The Boondocks will host a panel at Dream Con for the first time – giving you the opportunity to sit in and feel a nostalgic rush with stories from the studio, cultural reflections, and a celebration of the legacy that made The Boondocks one of the most iconic shows of its time!
