Embracing Accessibility at Dream Con: Introducing the AccessiBliss Suite

At Dream Con, we believe that everyone deserves to experience the joy and excitement of our convention, regardless of their abilities. We understand that accessibility isn't a one-size-fits-all approach. That's why we've been working hard to implement a variety of features and accommodations to meet the needs of our diverse attendees.

Introducing the AccessiBliss Suite!

This brand new space is a game-changer for Dream Con. Located right next to the Main Stage, the AccessiBliss Suite is a haven for anyone who needs a break from the hustle and bustle of the convention floor. It's a quiet space where ADA attendees and their companions can relax, recharge, and still enjoy the convention.

Here's what you'll find in the AccessiBliss Suite:

• Live Streams of Designated Premier Events: Stay connected without the sensory overload.
• Sensory-Friendly Environment: Take a break from the bright lights and loud noises.
• Disposable Ear Plugs: Block out unwanted noise for a moment of peace.
• Sensory Items: We'll have a selection of fidget toys and other tools to help you self-regulate.

And that's not all!

Here are some of the other accessibility features we're offering:

• Accessibility Wristbands: These free wristbands grant access to priority lines, designated seating, and the AccessiBliss Suite.
• Quiet Spaces: Need a moment of calm? In addition to the AccessiBliss Suite, the Manga Library on the 3rd floor is a designated quiet space for everyone.
• Mobility: Priority lines for entry, accessible restrooms, and a limited number of mobility scooters (available for an additional cost) are available.
• ASL Interpreting & Closed Captioning: Select programs will have ASL interpreters and closed captioning will be available in the AccessiBliss Suite.
• Visual Aids: Non-color coded maps are available upon request.
• Service Animals: We welcome certified service animals.
• Nursing Rooms: Located on both the 1st and 3rd floors for your convenience.
