Gigi Murakami

Gigi Murakami is an award-winning manga artist, illustrator, and content creator working at the intersection of horror, anime, and alternative culture. Her work blends Japanese manga influences with vintage grindhouse and pulp comic aesthetics, often exploring dark, dramatic, and introspective themes.

Known as the “Queen of Horror Manga,” she is best recognized for her supernatural horror series RESENTER, which received a one-shot publication with VIZ Manga. Her portfolio includes both traditionally published and independent works.

In 2025, Gigi received the Cartoon Crossroads Columbus Emerging Talent Award, presented by Jeff Smith and Vijaya Iyer. She currently serves as art lead and executive producer on the upcoming anime film WEBE with NLite, while also developing original manga projects, running her membership platform Midnight Cult, and managing her online store and digital content presence.
