Nakia Burrise

Nakia Burrise, is an actress, producer, and writer best known for her role as Tanya Sloan, the Yellow Ranger in Power Rangers Zeo and Power Rangers Turbo, appearing in over 75 episodes and a feature film. Raised in Stockton, California, she began performing early and was the only African American female freshman accepted into UCLA’s theater department in her class.

With a career spanning over 25 years across television, film, and digital media, Nakia has expanded her impact behind the camera as well. She created and produced the comedy series Life After Saving the World, co-created the YouTube channel Power Rangers Playback, and developed the web series Class Dismissed, later adapted into a feature film available on Peacock, Amazon, and Tubi.

In 2024, she co-wrote, produced, and starred in the award-winning film Back to Bridgewood, published her first comic Heavy Metal Rescue, and continues developing new projects including The Never Never Kids, while co-producing the award-winning short Slipping Away.
