Voice ACtor Search Overview

Dream Con, in partnership with Martian Blueberry, is excited to launch an open Voice Actor Search, spotlighting emerging and undiscovered voice talent. This search is designed to identify versatile voices, strong performers, and creative storytellers who can bring characters to life across genres.

This is an opportunity to showcase your range, originality, and acting instincts, not your production budget.

Who This is For

We’re looking for:

• Aspiring and emerging voice actors
• Performers with strong character instincts and vocal flexibility
• Creators who can convey emotion, personality, and story through voice

You do NOT need professional demo reels, agents, or studio-quality equipment to apply.

Age Requirements:

Applicants must be 18 years or older to apply.

In Person Requirements: 

‍

Selected participants MUST be available to attend Dream Con in person to advance in the Voice Actor Search. Dream Con and/or Martian Blueberry will NOT provide badges, travel or lodging for participants.

Submission Guidelines

DUE: May 15, 2026 at 11:59 PM CST 

Voice Reel Video (Required)

• Applicants will submit one (1) short on-camera video showcasing their voice work.

• Length: Up to 45 seconds total
• Format: One (1) continuous video
• Camera On: We need to see you perform to verify identity
• Audio: Clear, natural audio (phone recording is perfectly fine)

What to Perform:

Within your 45 seconds, we encourage you to demonstrate range by including:

• Multiple characters
• Different tones, accents, or vocal textures
• Distinct personalities or emotional shifts
• Prompt to Guide You:
  
  • How many distinct, believable voices can you bring to life in 45 seconds?

There is no required script. You may use original material or brief improvised lines.

Production Notes:

• We are NOT judging production quality
• We are NOT looking for studio-polished demos
• We are NOT expecting professional lighting, sets, or editing

• Voice versatility
• Acting ability
• Creativity
• Authentic performance

Helpful tips:

• Record in a quiet space
• Avoid loud background noise or music
• Neutral or simple backgrounds work best
• Speak clearly and confidently

What We’re Evaluating

Submissions will be reviewed based on:

Originality: Distinct voices and creative choices

Acting ability: Emotional clarity, character believability

Range: Ability to shift tone, style, or personality

Creativity: How you interpret and approach the challenge
